I Can Write A Retell
Retell Writing Assessment Template—an invaluable tool for evaluating students' retell writing proficiency. This blank template empowers young learners to visually depict the beginning, middle, and end of a story through drawings. Additionally, it provides dedicated space for students to compose a written retell, allowing them to showcase their storytelling skills in a structured way. Learning goals
- We are learning to identify some features of texts including events and characters and retell events from a text.
- We are learning to recognise characteristics of different types of texts, e.g. traditional beginnings and endings of fairy tales and rhyme in poetry.
- We are learning to create short imaginative, informative and persuasive texts to explore, record and report ideas using familiar words and beginning writing knowledge.
- We are learning to edit texts for meaning, spelling, capital letters and full stops, for ourselves and others.
- We are learning to construct texts using software including word processing programs, e.g. MS Word.
