Differentiation
Modifications
Give students counters or other concrete items to use while trying to identify the fractions of a whole. Stick with finding fractions with a numerator of 1 at first (simple division) and then multiples of that fraction.
Extensions
Have students create and exchange word problems with fractions of a whole up to 1000.
