This 10-question quiz makes a wonderful whole-class warmup, review or formative assessment tool to gauge students’ level of understanding of the connection between addition and subtraction as inverse operations and their ability to find unknowns in number sentences.

Answers are revealed after each question, allowing for opportunities for whole class discussions.
