Adventure Alley (Park Map)
This resource has been created to be paired with our 'Budget a Day...Adventure Alley!' workheet. Students use this engaging theme park map, to ultimately plan and budget a day where they calculate and solve practical problems involving money using different operations, and justifying their choice of operation.
This resource can also be used as a handy tool to accompnay the teaching and learning of mapping concepts and elements of measurement.
Learning goals
- We are learning to use estimation and rounding to check and explain calculations including transactions involving money.
- We are learning to solve practical problems involving addition and multiplication including money problems, such as budgeting, using multiple strategies.
- We are learning to solve problems involving purchases and calculate change to the nearest 5 cents, using both mental strategies and digital tools.
