World Map Puzzle B&W
Designed as a simple activity for learning important features on a World Map.
Simply cut out the sheets and scramble for students to assemble.
This resource has 2 levels, with 3 different types of map information to choose from. This allows for easy differentiation. It has also been created in colour, as well as black and white for easy printing.
Learning goals
- We are learning to identify the places we live in and belong to, e.g. neighbourhood, suburb, town and describe why these places are important.
- We are learning to create story maps or models to represent the location of places and features.
- We are learning to understand the way the world is represented in geographic divisions and the location of Australia in relation to these divisions.
- We are learning to understand the landmarks in Australia and the representation of Australia as states, territories and capital cities and as Countries/Places of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

Differentiation
Modifications
Students can just complete Level 1. Students can use World Maps that have already been labelled.
Extensions
Give students a black map to label. Give student Level 2.
