Working for Change
In this worksheet, students investigate careers with the potential to help with the water issues they have just learned about. Remind them that this does not have to be a science job, everyone from PM to garbo can help in their own way.
It is a part of a unit based on the Year 4 Australian national science curriculum. It is designed to build on students' prior knowledge of the states of matter while introducing a basic understanding of the water cycle.
Learning goals
- We are learning to identify sources of water and describe the parts of the water cycle (precipitation, evaporation and condensation), including movement of water through the sky, land and ocean.
Curriculum alignment
Australian Curriculum covers QLD / SA / WA / NT / TAS / ACT.
