Turning Gingerbread - Quarter and Half Turns Clockwise and Anticlockwise 17x
In 'Turning Gingerbread - Quarter and Half Turns', students will reproduce a pattern based around half and quarter turns of gingerbread. They will understand the meaning of 'clockwise' and 'anti-clockwise'. Students will use the terms, 'turn', 'full-turn', 'half-turn' and 'quarter-turn' to describe the movement of the shape.

Learning goals
- We are learning to identify, describe and demonstrate quarter, half, three-quarter and full turns, e.g. hands on a clock, in dances and in the school environment.
- We are learning to identify, describe and draw half and quarter turns.
- We are learning to describe and perform translations, reflections and rotations of shapes and to identify symmetries.
- We are learning to describe translations, reflections and rotations of two-dimensional shapes and to identify line and rotational symmetries.
