Think - Share - Compare - Lessons From ‘The Giving Tree’

In this worksheet, students try and identify the moral in the story ‘The Giving Tree,' including evidence for their conclusion in the text. Afterwards, they spend some time in small groups discussing what they learned with classmates and then reconsider their take aways.
It is a part of a larger fables unit for students, where they learn to read for the moral lesson, in both ancient and modern examples, before constructing their own fable.
