The Story Remix

A fantastic activity to encourage students to explore different contexts and character portrayals. 

Students are divided into groups and provided with a well-known story (e.g., Cinderella). Each group is tasked to come up with a creative twist or variation to the story and act it out.

Learning goals

  • We are learning to identify the effect of imagery in texts when reading aloud, e.g. the use of nature in haiku poems and language devices such as rhythm and onomatopoeia to add momentum to poetry.
