Tempering Assertions
This worksheet guides students in recognising and using various types of support, such as the impersonal “it”, anonymous support, general sources, and specific sources. Students practise improving bare assertions, ranking the strength of arguments, and identifying support in context. Includes examples and an answer key for effective classroom use.
