Technologies Unit: Designing Digital Solutions
This 5-lesson Digital Technologies unit introduces Year 3–4 students to systems, data and programming through a structured inquiry into digital solutions. Students explore inputs and outputs, identify and represent different types of data and follow a guided design process to build their own simple digital solution. The unit includes engaging activities, student worksheets, algorithm planning tools and a final assessment task with rubric. Visuals such as flowcharts and scaffolding templates support diverse learners.
