Segmenting Words Scoot Game
Scoot is such a fun way to review a topic at the end of a unit! Students will race around the room to find each of the picture cards before recording how many sounds they can hear in each word.
The first player or pair to complete their entire sheet correctly is the winner!
This game could also be set up and used as an early finisher task for students to complete independently.

Learning goals
- We are learning how to spell one- and two-syllable words with common letter patterns.
- We are learning to segment words into separate phonemes (sounds), consonant blends or clusters at the beginnings and ends of words (phonological awareness).
