Rolling Real Estate

This roll and add game is a little bit different than the others because of its reliance on strategy. Students roll their dice and build themselves a real estate empire across the city, trying to block the other developers. The person with the most floors (highest total of the dice) at the end of the game is the winner. Bonus cards and different ways of playing means that this game will stretch past the early grades. Learning goals

  • We are learning to add and subtract one- and two-digit numbers, using a variety of strategies, e.g. partitioning, doubles, near doubles, bridging to 10 and rearranging and regrouping of numbers.
