People and Places of Historical Importance- B&W Brochure
This assessment task has been created to support the Year 2 Unit of Work- People and Places of Historical Importance. Students are required to research a person or place of historical importance and create an informative brochure on it/them. The brochure will cover information such as what the person, group of people or place is known for, important dates surrounding the person, group of people or place, why they are still important and what they tell us about the past.
Learning goals
- We are learning to understand the history of a significant person, building, site or part of the natural environment in the local community and what it reveals about the past.
- We are learning to understand the importance today of a historical site of cultural or spiritual significance in the local area, and why it should be preserved.
