Maths Unit: Dive into Data

This detailed unit plan focuses on the Data Representation and Interpretation aspect of the strand Statistics and Probability. The unit plan contains a visually engaging and explicit presentation to guide your students through learning about data collection and how to represent data results as a picture graph.  The unit comes complete with progressive worksheets, a set of two posters, a picture graph matching game and assessment task to monitor student learning. This presentation touches on tally marks and the importance of organizing data into a table.
