Lowest Common Denominator Game

In this card game, students are asked to find the lowest common denominator using two randomly drawn cards, which they are able to self mark thanks to an included LCD chart. It’s the perfect game for you numeracy rotations, and to get students practicing this new skill.

This game is part of a larger unit designed to develop proficiency in solving problems related to addition and subtraction of fractions by applying their understanding of equivalent fractions. The focus is on mastering the skill of manipulating fractions to facilitate efficient computation and problem-solving.

Pages 3, 5, 7 & 9 can be used when printing in duplex for a coloured back on cards, or delete before printing to save ink.
