Fanboys Match
Enhance students' understanding and recognition of FANBOYS (For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, So) with the interactive "FANBOYS Match" resource. This resource presents a fun matching activity where students match sentence pairs using the appropriate FANBOYS conjunction. Through this activity, students will reinforce their knowledge of FANBOYS and develop their skills in constructing cohesive sentences.
Learning goals
- We are learning to understand that texts are made cohesive through the use of pronouns, e.g. ‘she’, ‘he’, ‘they’, determiners, e.g. ‘this’, ‘that’, ‘these’, ‘those’, ‘the’ and text connectives that link, e.g. ‘however’, ‘in addition’, ‘therefore’ and that indicate time, e.g. ‘firstly’, ‘then’, ‘next’, ‘finally’.
