This unit will give you a great overview of text connectives and how to identify them and use them within a sentence in order to connect two parts of a sentence together. You will have the opportunity to practise the skill with various worksheets and an assessment to complete at the conclusion of the unit.

Learning goals
- We are learning to understand that texts are made cohesive through the use of pronouns, e.g. ‘she’, ‘he’, ‘they’, determiners, e.g. ‘this’, ‘that’, ‘these’, ‘those’, ‘the’ and text connectives that link, e.g. ‘however’, ‘in addition’, ‘therefore’ and that indicate time, e.g. ‘firstly’, ‘then’, ‘next’, ‘finally’.
