Equivalence Jigsaw Puzzles

For students to effectively progress from arithmetic to algebraic thinking, they must understand equivalence. Equivalence activities can be used to develop students relational thinking.

This fun an engaging activity asks students to use their problem-solving skills to work out equations involving addition and subtraction. Each piece will display one part of the equation. Students then need to match the jigsaw pieces to complete an equivalent number sentence.
