English Unit: Creating Digital Texts

Learning goals

  • We are learning to create and edit short written texts to record and report ideas and events using capital letters, punctuation and correct spelling of CVC words.
  • We are learning to construct texts using software including word processing programs, e.g. MS Word.
  • We are learning to recognise and explore digital systems.
  • We are learning to identify and explore digital systems.
  • We are learning to follow and describe algorithms.
  • We are learning to follow, describe and represent a sequence of steps and decisions (algorithms) needed to solve simple problems.
  • We are learning to use the basic features of common digital tools to create, locate and communicate content.
  • We are learning to use the basic features of common digital tools to share content and collaborate, guided by trusted adults.
  • We are learning to access our school account with a recorded username and password.
  • We are learning to create and organise ideas and information using information systems independently, with a known adult.
