Ecosystems Assessment Rubric
This rubric was created to help you assess your students on the Year 4 Biological sciences curriculum while completing the unit ‘Ecosystems’. Not only does it cover the knowledge and understanding section of the curriculum, but it will assist you in identifying the student’s work in the science enquiry skills as well.

Learning goals
- We are learning to explain the roles and interactions of consumers, producers and decomposers within a habitat and how food chains represent feeding relationships.
- We are learning to understand that living things depend on each other and the environment to survive, e.g. shelter for animals.
