Class Game - Contractions
A really fun whole class game, which includes 31 student cards and 1 teacher's starter card. Once confident, students can race the clock and strive to beat their best time. As an added benefit, these games are great for encouraging teamwork.
This is a great game to play regularly as a whole class, either as an English warm-up or as a revision of student’s word knowledge.
Learning goals
- We are learning to understand that contractions are a part of informal language and that apostrophes of contraction are used to signal missing letters.
- We are learning to understand that apostrophes signal missing letters in contractions and apostrophes are used to show singular and plural possession.
