2D Shapes Identification Card
This resource and assessment has been designed to align with the Australian Curriculum content descriptor, ‘Describe and draw two-dimensional shapes, with and without digital technologies' (Year 2). Students have the opportunity to draw a 2D shape or glue in one they have created. Students then name the shape and describe its features. A great resource to display and also as an assessment tool to check your students' understanding.
Learning goals
- We are learning to recognise, compare and classify shapes and objects using obvious features and spatial terms, e.g. opposite, parallel, curved, straight.
- We are learning to use features to describe and draw two-dimensional shapes.
Curriculum alignment
Australian Curriculum covers QLD / SA / WA / NT / TAS / ACT.
