Working with Whiteboards – Chin it, Bin it, Park it
The Working with Whiteboards – Chin it, Bin it, Park it resource is a classroom behaviour and engagement tool designed to help students actively participate in whiteboard activities while promoting accountability and formative feedback. Students are encouraged to hold their whiteboards under their chin (“Chin it”), erase and try again if they’re off track (“Bin it”), or wait for feedback and share their thinking (“Park it”). This approach builds a safe and supportive classroom culture, encourages risk-taking, and keeps all learners engaged during whole-class instruction.
