Our 'Text Connectives Posters' were created by request and include examples of connectives for students to use in their writing. These posters have been created to be displayed in the classroom as a point of constant reference. They will be used daily and include the following connectives:

Learning goals
- We are learning to understand that texts are made cohesive through the use of pronouns, e.g. ‘she’, ‘he’, ‘they’, determiners, e.g. ‘this’, ‘that’, ‘these’, ‘those’, ‘the’ and text connectives that link, e.g. ‘however’, ‘in addition’, ‘therefore’ and that indicate time, e.g. ‘firstly’, ‘then’, ‘next’, ‘finally’.
