This worksheet is designed to be a letter sent home to parents to explain the coming unit and enlist their help in the collection of rock and soil samples for the labs you will be doing in class. There is a place for both solids and rocks for you to fill in the date you will need those things returned to the classroom, so as a class, you may want to fill in those details together, or photocopy with those dates in place.
