The 'Fraction Wall' was designed to provide students with a visual reference tool matching representations of fractions to the word, symbol, percentage and decimal fraction.
Students will make connections between equivalent fractions, decimals and percentages.

Learning goals
- We are learning to find equivalent representations of fractions and make connections between fractions and decimals, e.g. ¼ of 1 metre = .25m or 25cm.
- We are learning to investigate equivalent fractions, e.g. halves, quarters and eighths or thirds and sixths.
- We are learning to compare and order numbers with more than two decimal places and represent decimal numbers including numbers greater than 1, e.g. 1.68cm, on number lines.
- We are learning to compare, order and represent decimals on number lines.
- We are learning to recognise that 100% represents a whole and use percentages to describe, represent and compare relative percentages visually, e.g. shading a hundreds grid and connect percentages to their decimal and fraction equivalents.
- We are learning to compare, order and represent common fractions including halves, thirds and quarters on the same number line and justify their order.
- We are learning to make connections between equivalent fractions, decimals and percentages.
