Excellent Editing - Year 1 Assessment
This resource has been designed to assess students’ understanding of ‘5 Star Writing’ when editing at a Year 1 level. It focuses on assessing students' ability to use capital letters, appropriate punctuation, spelling, vocabulary and legible handwriting. This resource is part of the Excellent Editing- Year 1 Unit Plan.

Learning goals
- We are learning to create and edit short written texts to record and report ideas and events using capital letters, punctuation and correct spelling of CVC words.
- We are learning to edit texts for meaning, spelling, capital letters and full stops, for ourselves and others.
