Counting Quest to 20 Assessment
In this assessment, students identify the missing numbers in a counting sequence from 0-20. Students must also demonstrate their 1-1 correspondence as they count collections between 0-20 and match them to their numerals. Students are also given the opportunity to demonstrate their verbal counting skills with a teacher.

Learning goals
- We are learning to read, write and order numbers to 20 using concrete materials, connecting quantities, numerals and number names.
- We are learning to count forwards and backwards up to 20.
- We are learning to compare and order numbers to 20 using words such as ‘more’, ‘less’, ‘same’ or ‘first’, ‘second’, ‘third’.
