Chinese New Year - Lantern Antonyms Match
Students will match antonyms (opposites) in this colourful Chinese New Year lantern theme game. There are 40 pairs of antonyms to match and make the lanterns whole.
Learning goals
- We are learning to understand how language features such as synonyms, antonyms and word associations make texts cohesive.
- We are learning to understand how language features such as personal and possessive pronouns can be used to leave out words in a text that can be inferred, e.g. Sam went to school. She had a lovely day. (‘at school’ is inferred).
