This colourful game provides opportunities for students to practice the practice the mental strategies they have learnt in the Mental Subtraction, Year 2 Unit. Students can pick from the strategies they have been taught:

This resource also includes a reproducible recording sheet, which makes it a great formative assessment tool.
It was designed for Year 2 but could be used in Year 1, for extension or Year 3, for consolidation.
