Modifications
Highlight the first phoneme of the word on each card.
You could also highlight the second and/or last phoneme a different colour.
Extensions
Students can begin to build their own 3-phoneme words or create their own 3-phoneme cards to be completed by classmates.
Students can move on to the 4-phoneme version of this game.
