Australian History Research Cards
Designed for upper primary teachers, this resource is going to cover many aspects of the curriculum and is one that you can use year after year. Students will identify the significance of an image on Australia's history and conduct research on the signficant person, people, place or event. Students can present information to the class and use this information to create a timeline of events.

Learning goals
- We are learning to describe the events around the establishment of the First Fleet, the key people involved and the establishment of the first British colony.
- We are learning to understand the stories of the First Fleet, including reasons for the journey, who travelled to Australia, and their experiences following arrival.
- We are learning to understand the nature of convict or colonial presence, including the factors that influenced patterns of development, aspects of the daily life of the inhabitants (including First Nations Australians) and how the environment changed.
